Meirchion has been shown as the son of Owain ap Hywel Dda. Stewart Baldwin shows Owain as king of South Wales. [1]
Neither Cawley [2] nor Boyer, who follows Bartrum, [3] show Owain with a son Meirchion.
Therefore Meirchion has been detached as a son of Owain.
